Fort Collins is known as the Silicon Valley of microbreweries and has a robust food scene. Come for the locally sourced, organic foods but stay for the hip, cozy atmospheres, and over-the-top friendly service.
Let’s be real, nothing sets you up for success better than the feeling of a full belly with a warm first meal of the day. From family friendly top of the morning breakfast eats, to laid back brunch with friend hangs paired with mimosas and bloody Mary's, we have the perfect Fort Collins spots in mind. Featured on the list are some mouth-watering local eats for any average eater, foodie extraordinaire, and everyone who falls somewhere in between.

Ginger and Baker- locally owned, this spot can serve both purposes as family friendly and friend brunch meetup. The food is locally sourced, made from scratch, and downright amazing! Interested in how to multi-purpose a space? This restaurant offers cooking classes, an in-house bakery, boutique shop of local goods, and event space available for booking for your next event. Farmhouse at Jessup Farm- small and intimate, this farm to table eatery will be sure to capture your taste buds as well as your heart. Organic chickens, eggs, and veggies are cared for and grown on site (hence the name). Everything is made from scratch with you in mind. This is the perfect place to cozy up in one of the many nooks for a mimosa brunch meet up with friends and family or hang on the patio on a bright, sunny Fort Collins day. They also serve fresh Bindle Coffee from the coffee place next door like such a good neighbor. At any rate, make sure to try

Know before you go: The Farmhouse at Jessup Farm is closed Monday and they close daily between breakfast and dinner
Bluebird Café- Conveniently located off College and Laurel, you will feel like a college kid again in the heart of Colorado State University campus while you choose from the many breakfast and lunch items on the menu. The staff is bubbly, the atmosphere is bright, inviting, and the food is delicious. They also make their own in house hot sauce (also for sale).
Recommend: the salmon scrambler or the chicken fried chicken with eggs and house potatoes; buy some hot sauce on the way out

RISE! A Breakfast Place- Get ready to come in for a great start to any day. With made from scratch and Gluten free items on the menu there is sure to be something that will catch your eye and captivate your stomach. Along with the amazing food, the staff is always ready to serve and there is a whole section just for frittatas on the menu. Our favorite is the GF blueberry pancake.
Recommend: Cinnamon roll French toast or the Stack

Snooze, an A.M. Eatery- This downtown, contemporary brunch spot is an Instagram worthy place to catch a bite with friends or meet up with family. The GF, Vegan, and traditional options are sure to capture the tastebuds of even the pickiest of eaters.
Recommend: any of the benedicts are amazing and the bloody Mary’s are picturesque

La Creperie- You will feel as though you just stepped off the plane into France when you visit La Creperie. This local breakfast dig and French bakery makes everything from scratch and is truly a gem in our city. You can feel good about supporting this local, family-owned small business in our Fort Collins community. The crepes are an obvious choice and there are plenty of options. Some of our family favorite crepes are the Nutella crepes with strawberry and banana and the ham and cheese crepes. Why choose one when you can have both? Plan to come in for brunch and carry out one of their many fresh bakery treats. Their macaroons are amazing and make the visit to La Creperie worth every penny. Also, for your dining pleasure, the TV constantly plays videos of the owner making elaborate cakes, candies, and sweets. It’s nothing short of intriguing to see all of the time and effort that goes into everything they make.
Recommend: Ham, egg, and cheese croissant and Nutella crepes with bananas

Second to None:
Lucille's Creole Cafe- Located in a cozy, yellow house in the Historic district of Fort Collins, this Colorado chain is a Cajun inspired kitchen with flavorful dishes sure to have you thinking of coming back for more. The freshly made chili jelly is impeccable and the shrimp and grits make for a superb first meal of the day. Ready to get the party started? Order one of the freshly squeezed juices or cocktails on the menu. Lucille’s is also located in Boulder, Longmont, Denver, Evans, and Littleton.
Recommend: Beignets and Shrimp Creole over rice

Silver Grill Café- Located in the heart of Old Town, and known as the oldest restaurant in town, they’ve been dishing up hot breakfast since 1933. I would even dare to say that no breakfast list in Fort Collins is complete without the Silver Grill. This made to order kitchen is always bustling with brunchers from the time they open until closing time. The house made cinnamon rolls are the star of the show. If you plan to be a regular at the Silver Grill, I suggest becoming part of their loyalty club and getting a coffee cup with your name on the wall for you to use on your visits in.
Recommend: Country fried chicken and gravy with house potatoes and eggs

Consuelo's Breakfast Burritos- Okay, you've probably seen it on the corner of Lemay and Riverside and wondered if you should stop. Yes, absolutely! This New Mexican inspired eatery has the best breakfast burrito in town (smothered or handheld with green chili because if you know, you know). Their signature chili is also available for purchase on their website. There's a reason the line spans onto Riverside on any given Sunday morning in Fort Collins. Most gas stations around town also peddle Consuelo’s burritos in their hot cases.
Recommend: bacon breakfast burrito smothered in half mild/hot green chili or a Navajo taco

Mountain Café- Family owned and operated, bring the doggo along to this Old Town gem has been on the scene for ages. Affordable and family friendly, this local diner will be perfect for any occasion and budget. Come for the food but stay for the awesome service and company!
Recommend: Monte Cristo sandwhich

The Best For Last:
The Rainbow Restaurant- Family owned and serving Fort Collins for over 40 years, there’s something (fresh) for everyone on the menu. They come highly recommended for their approach to traditional, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes. Passionate about sourcing quality, local ingredients you can taste the difference when you dine. Located directly on Colorado State University campus, the Rainbow Café is a local favorite hot spot.
Recommend: Bagel, fruit cup, and a juice

The Little Bird Bake Shop- Located in the heart of the Old Town Square, this bake shop will stay on your mind long after the treats are gone. Stay and grab a delicious bowl of soup paired with freshly baked bread. On your way out, make sure to grab some baked goodness to go and venture to the square to experience the heart of Fort Collins.
Recommend: The blueberry muffins

The Breakfast Club- Located off Horsetooth and College, this legendary local staple is a classic American diner with affordability and availability. Come for the pancakes, waffles, or breakfast burrito smothered in green chili (of course). Budget friendly and ready to serve, there is usually an open table and friendly staff with a full American style breakfast and lunch menu.
